The vision for Sophia’s Bundle of Joy (SBJ) was conceptualized by Director of Care Services, Sophia Burton.

Ms. Burton is a certified Child Development Associate, Certified Nursing Assistant and CPR/First Aid certified and has done extensive volunteer service with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston Hospital as well as worked with Tabula Rasa The Language Academy Bilingual School in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also cared for children with disabilities as a certified Paraprofessional educator and for countless seniors in the comforts of their homes.

Her nearly 20 years of experience as a childcare expert and yes, a mom; has shown Ms. Burton that youngsters have bundles of curiosity and like to be engaged. In addition to fun learning activities and arts and crafts; as a bilingual English/native Spanish speaker, Ms. Burton and some of her bilingual staff have the capacity; if requested, to teach kids in their care rudimentary Spanish including numbers, colors, basic nouns and vowels.

Ms. Burton and the SBJ Team also provides a suite of eldercare services and these services allow seniors to ‘age in place’ in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. Seniors as well as their families know that their loved ones are in the skilled, loving, competent hands of SBJ.

Ms. Burton will utilize her management and logistics skillsets to continue building SBJ into a trusted service for parents and families; staffed with experienced certified childcare professionals and educators to harness and nurture the brimming possibilities of children from newborn to 10 years old. SBJ will also continue to expand its eldercare services to provide a small measure in making sure those Golden Years are truly Golden.
